At the 2023 China International Bicycle Show, Baiyexing’s own brand SUPERTEAM brought two new wheelsets. Both wheelsets use bionic design, and the rim shapes are inspired by shark fins and humpback whale fins respectively.

Shark fin PRO MAX uses the exclusive fourth-generation patented one-piece molding technology, and the carbon cloth fits more closely. Compared with the winding process, the carbon cloth does not layer. The aerodynamic wave ring design has better resistance to crosswinds, and the surface uses patented shark fin embossing to effectively shield the vortex airflow that creates resistance.

The hub uses a new planetary ratchet hub with fast response. It took 2 years of research and development, continuous adjustments, and laboratory and road test data to ensure stability.

The spokes use SUPERTEAM patented AERO-52 carbon spokes. Carbon spokes deliver power directly and respond quickly. The spoke shape is wider, and the aerodynamic performance and appearance are better than the original carbon spokes. The spoke caps adopt a patented expansion step fastening process to make the connection more stable.

The spokes are made of T800 carbon cloth and are directly drawn on the machine, which is different from manual rolling. The straight-pull machine ensures that the carbon wires are in the same direction, improving impact resistance. Precise resin ratio, accurate weight control, only 3.4 grams per piece.

What is commendable is that SUPERTEAM has not forgotten the rim brake enthusiasts, and the shark fin PRO MAX also provides a rim brake version.

The painting is available in black mark and rainbow mark. The rainbow logo uses a new process, and the color is more vivid and colorful than before. In terms of price, the price of 7,899 yuan is quite cost-effective for a wheel set with carbon spokes and wavy rings.

The other pair is a mysterious new product of SUPER TEAM. The rims with the shape of humpback whale fins optimized in wind tunnel experiments are called water ripple original vacuum rims. They use a new optimized carbon cloth lamination method and are lighter in weight. The world's first original vacuum carbon spoke rim without external holes, the strength of the original vacuum rim is increased by 10%, and the EVO+ anti-torsion carbon spokes innovatively solve the problem of carbon spoke weaving of the original vacuum rim.
